We’re in a
world steeped in darkness,
governed by the lie,
where the strong thrive for now
because the weak will die.
We can be in it, not of it,
and reflect the light,
although the darkness will notice
and put up a fight.
Or we can produce our own light,
(but what’s it all for),
and try to keep the night
very far from our door.
